MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Jose Maria "Chepe" Serrano

Jose Maria "CHEPE" Serrano is a licensed Real Estate Broker, owner and founder of New Miami Realty, Corp. in Miami, Florida, since 2003.

​

Serrano holds a B.A. in Economics from Florida International University. In 2007 he became a Florida licensed Real Estate Instructor, soon after he was accepted as a Faculty member for Florida Realtors. He has been an active member of the  Miami Association of Realtors since 2009 and obtained his CCIM designation in 2013. He is currently a member of the Florida Realtors Board of Directors and have served in several committees

Chepe was awarded the 2010 Commercial Educator of the year and in 2013 he was named Commercial Broker of the year by the Miami Association of Realtors, the largest association of realtors in the USA. Serrano has always had a passion for teaching, starting with an Economics course at the Universidad Tadeo Lozano in Bogota, Colombia, where he pioneered a program of professionalizing journalists. He currently teaches in Miami Association of Realtors and New Miami Realty School. 

 

Experienced in Commercial Real Estate, Jose Maria Serrano utilizes his past work at executive levels of management, financial operations, sales and market development in diverse industries, including domestic and international trading of industrial and consumer goods, to create a better learning experience for his students.
